2016 Adelaide Hills Tempranillo Barbera


Tempranillo is a Spanish variety from a well-known region in Northern Spain. When coupled with 10% Barbera, an Italian variety from North-Western Italy, a unique wine is created. Following fermentation in open vats, this wine spent nearly 24 months in barrels giving it the time to soften the tannins and develop intense aromas such as cedar, bonfire and blackberries. On the palate, the soft tannins combine with flavours of black pepper, dark cherry and a deep earthy feel to it.
